Yes, I know. This is not 年越しそば (Toshikoshi soba). But people! Do you know where I live? Who need soba when you can have great udon?! hehe
well, seems like my parents had soba. Of course many people here have soba, not udon today. I just came back from work. So I ate my 年越しうどんalone... alone.... that's my key word for this year. hmmm, not quite right. "together" & "alone" both are key words for this year.
I had great time first part of the year. Actually I had great time for almost 6 months. Maybe couple days short. Then, some of you know what happened. I had the worst time of my life... it's been there for... honestly? 1 month. (no, couldn't find a job for more than 5 months hasn't been considered "worst time of my life") I'm kinda scared of myself that I've been getting so strong emotionally. Some people says it's a good thing though is it really?
Last 2 months of 2003, it was a new experience for me. I worked on weekends first time in... 10 years... working on shifts is pretty weird feeling.
At this moment... I have a job, I have great friends who's always been there for me. I have a place to stay. I have nice parents to thank for.
So I am happy.
Hope 2004 will be a better year romantically though.
Oh, one of my friends had a dream the other night. It was about me. About me having a baby and became a single mother. Hahaha, wait, IT IS NOT FUNNY at all. I told about this to my other friend. She said "well, it MOST LIKELY to happen." errr.... HUH?
My new years resolutions...
Start Yoga or something require stretching/moving my body. Read more books. Maybe try to learn new languages.

I made a visible mistake at work today. (Yes, I'm making non-visible or non- noticeable mistakes everyday.) Gosh what I was thinking?! Well, I noticed it right away and I could fixed it. So it wasn't a big deal. Still made me think though.

Chinese tea.
*C left to 12 days trip. He'll have New Year somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.
Today I went to see my friend Kayoko and her daughter Momo.
Here's bad picture of Momo and I. Flash didn't work this time.
We live pretty close like few mins by bike. So I often visit them when I have sometime. It's fun to play with Momo and talk to Kayoko. Today, I left there after lunch and came home to write 年賀状. Finally I'm feeling like it's 師走 (Shiwasu). Shiwasu is December. 師 (teacher) 走 (run), when I was a kid, someone told me that 師 means also Buddhist priest. So priests are usually calm and quiet though even they have to run to do some errands in December. That busy in December. I guess I would feel more of it if I've been staying home with mom. She's busy cleaning up whole house before the new year. Though since I don't have any new years holidays, I hadn't felt 師走 yet.
I will be working till few hours before the new year. I feel like I'm missing those Japanese traditional seasons...

at least I will get paid 25% extra on 31st and 3rd. yea, I will have 1st and 2nd off. I will go to a shrine to get 厄払い. (in English, "exorcise" geez that sounds so bad) I will be an unlucky age...
oh well, have a great holiday season everybody.

Nice bloody muscle ache. It sure was a good exercise hiking on that mountain in Miyajima. It was quiet and beautiful though.
oh and today is Christmas Eve I heard.

I went to Miyajima today. Took local trains and it took me about 4 hours to get there.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL. GORGEOUS. It's almost like warm Spring day!
I am too tired to tell about my trip right now, though I post all my Keitai pictures. Nathan took better pictures for me and he's kind enough to share those with me. So I will post more later.

Finally I finished my 3kin. (3 days of work) Yeah yeah I know. It's only three days. Though working through weekends are always pretty tough. Weekends are away busier than weekdays. oh well...
I am restless still. That's because I don't know what I'm doing or what I wanna do with my life. I dunno what's right or wrong. Which way I should go or when I stop. 10 more days till New Year.

We are making January's schedule at work right now. And I'm planning my own schedule as well. Seems like I might be in Tokyo area twice next month... of course if I can afford it though. :p
I will be in Tokyo Jan 17 for sure. I asked my cousin there today about if I can crash in her place. Then she told me that she'll go to Onsen that weekend! :( so if I can get there very early, meet her somewhere and get the key... then I can stay. ha! I will be flying in around 9:30 so it would be too late. oh well, I always can stay at a cheap hotel. Or... does anyone let me stay?! :)

As some of you know (oh well, if there's any reader here) I've been in pretty bad mood. No, not the bad mood. More like I've been feeling blue. Nothing good is happening here.
Even one of the biggest optimist in this island, well I mean myself, have some moments to be negative.

I went to buy digital camera. Our family always goes to one store. The store is small, so when I want to buy something. They usually have to ask other stores or head office if they have it. Today... same thing. I had two cameras in my mind. Minolta DiMage xt and Casio Exilm-Z3. They actually had Casio one, but it was displayed one and more expensive than the other... I didn't like it. So I decided to order Minolta one. Dunno when I will get it. I wanted to have it for my day trip to Miyajima on 23. :( oh well... I just have to ask Nathan to bring his camera and take some pics for me.
When I came home from a lunch with my friend. I found my mom's plants were blown away! Mom and I were not happy about this. :(

I got a demand note from the city. They say I'm late to pay for November's health insurance fee. From November, company I work for is paying my health insurance fee. I wonder that company applied the insurance for me and why city office didn't know about it??? People at the city office is f&%$ing slow when I need them and so fast when they think they can get some money from me. I just hate that.

I got a Christmas card from my Canadian dad. Just yesterday one of my friends asked me if I've already sent them.
well, no, I haven't sent any of them. None. As a matter of fact, I completely forgot about it. It's been about a month and half since I started to work. My schedule already screwed up my sense of days. I dunno what day is today. I only know it's not weekend, cuz I couldn't park my bike at the first row. Anyways, some of you guys who's been getting my Christmas card every year... sorry no card this year. I will write you guys later. (or I will try at least)

I'm listening to a CD.
My friend Jud is in a band called Wintersleep. They are pretty cool.
I found out that one of the guys I know in TO. He's on the Toronto's free weekly paper NOW magazine the other month. He's pretty cool guy. And he's very nice. I have his bands CDs too.
Yes, I like country. You didn't know?! I love going to see them when I'm in TO. I can go on and on talking about Canadian music though I am so tired... so I should do it some other time. :)

He's one of the coolest person I've ever met. And nicest as well. We've known each other for... 7 years now. He takes care of me and treat me as his own sister. He knows all about my life in Toronto... almost all about it. hehe

I've been feeling restless. Some of my friends know that I hate being unsure about something. Of course I am not always sure about everything. But some certain things, I'm usually sure about. Lately, I am not sure about anything. That makes me restless and nervous.
Tomorrow is my day off, I hope I can get some rest and forget about things which makes me think too much or makes me nervous.

After that I did some shopping and bought new shoes.
And I noticed my new shoes really much with my couch. hahaha actually my new shoes are more like silver and my couch is grey leather.
*C went to Hong Kong today. Dunno when he's coming home.

After that I went out for lunch with Mihoko. I haven't seen her for long time. And boom! Look at her belly! She's 7 months pregnant. :) We had lots of fun chatting. She always cheers me up. I laughed so hard and my head spun!
I got an email from my dear friend Jud in Halifax/Canada. He needs me to help doing something for his band Wintersleep. I remember I helped his old band Bucket Truck 5 or 6 years ago. He left the band and started to play in Wintersleep. Honestly, I love Wintersleep better than Bucket Truck... :)

I got a keitai email from my friend Meggie. (I have some friends who has same name, so I need to come up with some different nicknames...) I haven't talked to her for a while... her BF came to Japan for JET. (from Canada) And now they are living together. I thought "wow". Cuz I've known what's going on with them for... almost 5 years. Hope everything work out for them!
