4 weeks from today I will be away from everything I have here, relaxed and happy.
I went out with Miyuki for lunch. We went to a shopping mall near by. And looked around window shopped. We both bought cute scarf. :) After I got home again I went out for shopping.
Now I just need a haircut.
Feels much better today though I should go to bed early. Tired... and small stuff bothers me.

Got bus tickets and vouchers for my plane tickets. So I'm all set. Oh well almost.
Tomorrow would be my last weekend off before my vacation. I will have a lunch with my friend. And maybe go shopping later...

My father brought them back. Funny that I hadn't had many stuffed animals/dolls when I was a kid. But lately he brought lots of stuff home. They are cuter than the last Pam bear. :)

Got my suitcase in my room.
Threw everything I can think of (so far) in it. Still early to neatly hold and pack everything. I might need them still. :) Seems like I wouldn't bring much. I will go shopping in TO for sure so will have something to wear.
It got really cool today. Rained all day.
No French lesson today. My teacher got a cold. Hope she'll get better soon!
Haven't done much today. Another day just staring at the walls.

I've come long way since I was in English school at U of T... 8 years ago at the school, I was called to the principal's office on the second day. Because there was almost 10 levels difference between my listening/speaking and writing/reading level. My listening/speaking class was 16. (18 levels total. 18 highest) My writing/reading class was 8. Level 1 to 9, their class started at 9. Level 10 to 18 started at 10. So I needed to adjust my classes. I had fun there and learned.
Now I'm trying to learn French. Learning it is fun.
well, so far it's still fun. hehe
Last night, someone set fires in parking lots near my house. (beside Miyuki's house actually) Blew up two cars. My neighbours are furious. There's been some arson around here. Scary. :(

At work, boss is asking all of us if we can speak English.
I haven't seen him for few days so I don't know the details, but seems like there might be some work which requires English. But that work wouldn't be there for long. So they don't wanna hire new people... seems like not many people did say "yes I can speak English" I wasn't even really asked. They did assume I can. hmmm, can I?!
I was telling my co-workers that I can say "I am Japanese." "My name is Atsuko." "I'm tired." in French. Also "May I?" in Italian. But they don't think that's enough! hehe

Since I have so much time, I just daydream about my vacation, what to bring etc. Write those down. Making lists. Then decide to change everything. My biggest issue right now is... shoes. haha

Got travel insurance document. Tomorrow my travel agent will book my bus tickets to the airport. (you can only book it from a month + 1 day before the departure) Got some stuff for my friend there. Still can't figure out what to bring to my baby though... oh well.

Well, about typhoon. Today, it looked like nothing has happened. Actually two girls at work didn't leave till 8pm (normal time) yesterday. Hard workin.
Daydreaming about my vacation. Thinking about what to bring. Since I'm ok with cold weather, I don't think I need lots of stuff. I might go shopping tomorrow. Just looking around something for my friends. And have lunch with my mom maybe. :)

Home early from work.
Well, typhoon is here.
Yes, again.
So flooded again.
Stores were closed early. That's take out lunch place in front of my building.
People at work, they started to leave around noon. That time busses and JR were already stopped. My co-worker took a cab with her sister (who works close) and went home before 1pm. I called my father. He told me he's gonna leave work early. At that time I hadn't decided either going home early or stay at work till the typhoon pass.
I missed my chance.
It was slow though some stuff which probably other co-workers don't know how to do showed up. So I was like "okay, when I finish this, I'm leaving" then another fax came and "okay after this one" "after this" ... I even couldn't have my lunch till 3pm...
I left just before 4pm.
With my bike. In the typhoon. Look! I'm still alive...

Another typhoon is coming. Well most of us at work aren't really worried or cared about it anymore. It's just too many of them this year. I think I will be working when the typhoon comes closest to my city though bosses at work already decided they wouldn't make us leave early even the typhoon directly hit the city. Well, I will leave early if it looks bad out there. They wouldn't make us leave though don't think they would stop us leave. We'll see.

At work, my co-worker and I were thinking what to bring for our vacation. Her vacation is coming up in 20 days. Mine is.. well, you know. (and yes, I don't have anything to think of at the moment... at least anything fun to think of.)
I can't remember how's the weather like in late November in TO. Don't think it'll go down zero. Means I just need a normal coat. I will probably post some pic of my suitcase... how neat I can pack... hehe

Two days off... I got up about same time as I go to work. Watching some news.
Then I went to see my travel agent to pay. God facial massage. Then I went to see a optometrist. Bought some one day contacts. I should've gone for grocery shopping... oh well.
Got an email from my friends. More stuff to do in TO. I should start to make "what to do in TO" list. I like making lists.

Super slow at work. Unbelievable.
So I was making some lists. After work I went to do some errands. Did do some small shopping.
Started to get ready for my vacation. In a couple of weeks, I would be exhausted to get too excited. So I would be quiet till maybe about a week before the vacation... then everybody starts asking me if I've already packed or I'm ready for the vacation. I think I will pack a day before or maybe a couple days before I leave. Well, that's how it usually is. But this time, I can share the excitement with him! So I probably be excited till when I have to leave Toronto.
I talked to my best friend/sister M this morning. I really miss being with her. We really are like sisters when I'm in TO. Can't wait to see her.
I was thinking some other things to write though I forgot!

I went to French lesson. First time in more than a month. I didn't completely forget everything, though forgot pretty much.

Well, Olive is our prefecture's tree. (not fragrant olive) I just remember that. I see them everyday when I pass by in front of the prefectural offices.

Another melancholy day.
Busy at work. I'm really glad that my co-worker decided to come in to work today. She supposed to be in Tokyo this long weekend though because of the typhoon she couldn't go there. Few people didn't show up at work today. I guess they got sick, even though they work for a different section that made things busier for us. Oh well, one more day and day off on Tue. Ah I will go back to take the French lesson from Tue. Haven't studied it for more than a month. So I forgot pretty much everything.
K emailed me and told me if he could take a day off on the day I'm leaving to TO, we can meet up at the airport. (he lives close from the airport) That's cool.

Sent some emails to friends in TO. Got some replys.
Spent surfing the net for long time which I haven't really done for long time. Made a map for my friend who's also going to TO. She's been to Canada before though first time exploring in TO. So I picked up some places which she might be interested in. It was fun doing it.
And also I was looking for some info about changing my drivers license address. I know there's some kiosks machines around town though wanted to know if they have it at more convenient places. I guess I found it... if I can find it in a big shopping mall.

Yesterday I forgot to ask my travel agent about the schedule. So I called. She told me that she already sent me the itinerary. Though I got the schedule anyway.
So I will be in TO from Nov 24 to 30. Arriving at night. Leaving in the morning.
My co-workers are cool about my vacation. So everything is good.

Well, I'm going back to Toronto again in Nov. It will be another short trip for a week.
This time I don't think I will call/email many people. I saw some of them in May. And I wanna spend some quiet time with him too. Walking around and take him to my favourite places. :)
Did nothing but relaxed today. Well, called my travel agent. My favourite travel agent. She remembers me so I don't need to say much. Just date and destination. (well, she usually can guess where I'm going anyway) She has my passport # and air mile #. So I guess I'm done now. She also found me even cheaper tickets than the one I was thinking to buy.
Had a nap for a while which was good... watched a movie.
Oh I also did some cleaning in my closet. Sort out things. And ended up thinking what to bring to my trip. So took me longer to finish...
I guess I've done more stuff than I usually do on my day off???

Looked like many kids were just hanging out in the arcades this afternoon. Maybe their field trip was cancelled because of the rain.
Slow at work as usual. So my co-worker and I were just chatting. She's going to Toronto for a week in Nov! (found a cheap tour from Osaka) Of course when she's away, I have to work. But... I'm also thinking to go back to Toronto in Nov. Late Nov I guess... I heard a band from Halifax will play in TO around Nov 25... which one of my friend plays bass. So I'm thinking to go there around that time... I need to decide in this week. Cheap tickets I found, I need to book more than 45 days before the flight leaves. Book and also pay. Well I guess I have enough money for that...

My dear friend Carol started her own blog.
It's been more than 7 years since we met. :)
Last night I talked to him and decided to go to bed.
I sometime read something before go to sleep. So I took one of the books I have. New one and started to read.
Kept reading till I finished. 3:30am. It takes me for a while to fall a sleep, so I ended up staying up after 4am. I usually wake up at 5am... no, not today. I slept till 7:30.
Very slow at work... sleeeeeepy.
Wed would be my first day off (for a while) that I don't feel guilty even if I sleep till noon.
Sleep... mmmm nice. :)

My dad got him from somewhere. (from work I guess) He's Shirokuma-kun. A character in commercials. Well, I don't need to think of his name since he wears that sweater.
Tomorrow I will leave to Osaka and stay there for a night, then I will go to take the exam on Sunday morning. So no post tomorrow I guess.
