It's been very warm winter... then wow.

I went to work... and worked later than usual! ha! Hope I can change that next year...
After work, I went out from the building... where's everybody?!
Year 2004 was very good to me, really. Hope year 2005 would be nice to me as well.

I had a lunch with my friend who I went to high school with. Last time I saw her was... hmmm, her daughter was 3 or 4 years old and now she's in grade 2. It's been about 5 years or so. She sounds happy and I'm glad to know that.
After work, one of my friends called me. So I went out for dinner with some friends. I haven't seen the friend who called me tonight for more than 6 months. Again, glad to know she's doing okay. :)
Only 1 more day then it's 2005...

I went to get a haircut. It's shorter than I expected now. I forgot to take a pic... now I took a bath and ready to go to bed... :)

Andrea! I got the card today :) Mine is still on the way.
Work tomorrow though I will finally have two days off on Tue and Wed...
I will go out for a dinner with Kayoko and lovely Momo on Tue. Will be fun.
Wed... what should I do on Wed... I got three DVDs and two movies in my PC. So I should watch those or read and relax. :)

Went to work and fell a sleep quite few times.
I went shopping with my parents after work. I looked for a pair of running shoes though I couldn't find a pair I like, so didn't buy. I will dig in my shoe boxes. I probably have an old pair somewhere. :p
More work tomorrow, will work late too. :(

Present to myself.
DVD player which can play Japanese/North American/English DVDs. Kayoko told me about this and I got it right away. (very cheap too)
Thinking to get some other stuff too. :) Maybe tomorrow I will look for a pair of running shoes. Yeah, I might start running again... even though I hate it... I think I should do some exercise...

Last night I watched two movies...
Shaun of the dead and The Hours.
I thought both movies are good. It's just not a right combination to watch in one night.
Tomorrow, year end big house cleaning. Seems like only my room left. That means I need to unpack. Yes, I haven't completely unpack yet. Crazy I know...

About mosquito...
The popular one and most likely the one which I've seen everyday can comfortably live in the temperature between 18 to 25 degrees. They can pass the winter as well.
So here's what I think,

Dinner
I had a dinner with my friend after we went to get a facial massage together.
We were gonna go to this neat restaurant/bar for dinner and drink. Though we completely forgot about it's Monday today... they close on Monday... sigh
So we went to a Indian restaurant which close by instead.
There's a very very friendly old Indian guy (might be the owner) and he came to talk to us often. His Japanese was pretty good. He gave us free glass of Lassy... after we already had a glass. He was very cute and funny so we were laughing hard on the way home.

To myself.
I've been thinking what to get for me for Christmas.
I know what I want for Christmas though I also know I can't have the thing in my mind. So I need to think of something I can actually get.
Okay, I talked too much today.
I had a dinner with my friend Miyuki. We met up around 7pm after I finished work. We kept talking till quarter to midnight. We always lost track of time... well, we've known each other for... almost 30 years (!!!) 28 years to be exact. We are closer than ever. It's great to have her around.
We are thinking to start knitting. I've never knitted before though.

Someone told me his GF sleeps much better when he's around. (He travels and away from home a lot) I don't remember since when I can't sleep well. I've always slept light, though I could sleep much better before.

I got an email from J today. Though because of my cell phone problem (well, not really a problem... I should say condition) I couldn't read it.

Anyways, my life has been quiet. I will have two 忘年会 (year end party). One tomorrow. Might be a couple more... Old friends are coming back for New Years. I got a letter today from a friend who I went to school with. She'll be back here soon so she wants to meet me for lunch or something. Since I will work for Christmas eve, Christmas day, New Year's eve and New Year's day I don't feel like it's December or it's end of 2004. But people around me, they are feeling it I guess.

Someone stole my umbrella. I'd left it with my bike. In the basket, in plain sight. You could see it if you were close enough to my bike. I left it in the basket for over 1 year.
It was sunny in the morning though started to rain in the afternoon.

What I found!
It's called Nioi (nihoi) bukuro. It's fragrance bag. Long time ago, people hadn't take a bath everyday. So they have this nioi bukuro in their Kimono and try to hide their smelly body.
I was really excited finding Asagao nioi bukuro. (though I don't think it smells like morning glory, they don't have much smell.) Look at the cute needlework. They have other flowers too, so I might go back and get them.

Spammers. I guess everybody does.
I've been getting 20 to 30 spam mails a day to my cell phone. Last few days has been really bad. Even I turned off the sound I still can tell it's coming all the night. I can't sleep well at the first place this doesn't help at all.
Last night, I got a call from one of my job hunting agents. I should've at least tried to listen their offer though I was tired and I'm not planning to leave the job I have now for a while, so I just told them I'm working and no plan to leave for a while.
My friends will leave for their vacation soon...

I lost everything I wrote today. Bummer...
What I wrote about were... 1. my friends have been arguing about my relationship with someone. First I thought it's funny, now it bugs me pretty much. My smile twitching. 2. I wrote about those CDs I got in Toronto. The Dears "Thank You Good Night Sold Out" and feist "Let It Die", both are very good. Still haven't listened Rheostatics "2067" yet. 3. One of my watches died. Hope I just need to change the battery though I need to find new watch store. The one I used to go is closed now. 4. I haven't un-packed yet.

I really feel I'm getting to be boring person. I'm okay to live in a small city though... just can't stand it once in a while. I just bought new schedule book for next year and I was making another copy of an address book for that new schedule book. Not many Japanese addresses. Only a couple addresses in my city. I really should start thinking about moving...

There's always good news and bad news...
Here's bad one, I didn't pass the exam I took in Oct. Well, not surprised. Not upset. Expected it anyways. I probably will take the exam again next Oct. Gee, far far away... or not?
Today someone at work told me that she thinks I wouldn't be working there for long. Not that I'm not doing fine there though. I think I'm doing quite well there... what she meant probably was she also thinks I should be somewhere I would be happier.
Talking about me being happier... I got an email from my friend today. I saw her last week in TO. She mentioned that I looked happier than usual. When I was with my baby. I saw her twice last week, once alone the other time with my baby. That's I usually don't notice. Sure I'm happy when I'm with someone I really like, though not like I'm jumping around or grinning silly when I'm with that person. Some of my friends notice when I'm happier I guess.

Raining quiet Saturday today.
Cold rain.
My sis Mary told me "I guess the secret to happiness must be to try to spice up everyday life so you don't live just for the holidays!" I hear you sis...
I didn't feel this way last time (in May) though now I feel that here isn't the place I should be. My life here is too quiet and I feel like I'm getting boring person. When I'm in TO, I'm always up to something so I can enjoy quiet days more. Now I only have quiet days. I don't do much other than working. I don't have many friends around here either. Not those I can see middle of the night when I need them.
I had a quick visit this time and I couldn't see some of my friends. Even close ones. I talked to some of them online today and I miss them.

Back to the normal life.
After spending 9 hours at work, I feel like I wasn't in TO last week. I feel like I was here working last week as usual.
So, about my trip...
Thursday 25th, I had a lunch with sweet Andrea. We chatted about many things. It was great to meet you Andrea!
After that I went to see my friends Chie and Wilson. Glad to see them always. It's been 8 years since we met... :)
Dinner, I had dinner with Carol, Diane and Dave. As my request we went for Mexican. Yum.
Good dessert too... sizzling caramel apple... mmm
For Thu, that's my limit. I was gonna see my other friends though I was just too tired. Only thing I could think of was go back to my friend's place and relax.
From Friday to Monday, I was with my baby... saw some friends, shopping, two movies and one play. More shopping. I enjoyed every seconds with him. Even when I was grumpy. I was just happy that I could be close to him and knowing that he's there for me. (oh and of course he was there cuz he wanted to shop too. haha)
Now I feel just empty...

Got back from Toronto tonight. Long flight though I slept almost all the way. Missed all the movies as well. Very tired and I miss my baby so bad. And of course I miss my friends there too.
Thank you very much Andrea, Carol and my sis Mary for all those presents! I didn't expect them, they made me super happy.
