HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN!
(Aug 30)
Last weekend and this weekend, my parents and I went to ANA hotel for dinner. Last weekend, we had Chinese food. It was pretty good. Today, we had buffet. My dad and I had it there before and we weren't really pleased about it... though, my mom wanted to go. Guess what's the best I had? fresh grapefruits. hahaha. Anyway, both time MY TREAT. I had to spend some of my mileage before it's expired. So I had some coupons. And that coupons would be expired end of this month. (DAMN) I should've gotten plane tickets to Korea or Taiwan... sigh. Oh well, it's nice to treat my parents once in a while. I guess I will go back to TO sometime in next year before some of my mileage will be expired. Then I will get... some coupons again??? I will find out if there's something better than coupons...
I fell a sleep and something woke me up... Thirst.
Yes, another 34 degrees day.
sad...
also, Miyuki is leaving Japan to Russia today. :( Got a messege from her this morning before she left her house. *sigh*
I'm watching Audrey Hepburn's "Wait Until Dark"
She's beautiful though I think little bit over acting... little bit irritating. oh well...

I was talking to Miho online this morning, then she stopped talking and called me. "hey would you like to go out for lunch today?" that was like past 11am. I was in my pj. Though I said "sure". Miho picked me up in 30 mins and we went to meet up with Miho's friends. So 4 of us, Miho, Miho's friend Nathan, Nathan's friend Stephanie and I had lunch together. Was fun. After that, we went to downtown Takamatsu for some shopping. We ended up at Miho's. She just re-decorated her place. She even has surrounded speakers!!! Cool! I will stay over her place sometime next week... maybe Wednesday night.
Anyways, it was great to meet you Nathan and Stephanie!!! :)
Is someone watching this right now?
Of course I love Udon!!! Like most of people here, I don't really mind if I have to have Udon for lunch everyday... :)

I added new link!
Lottachan's blog. "I don't mind if you forget me"
Her blog touches my heart. :) I really like it.
Thank you for the emails Lottachan!
sometime I just feel that I should make this my dream blog...
This morning I told my friend Wayne "I had a weird dream last night."
then he sent me this. Either Wayne nor I read the article though... About Martin Lurther King's famous speach. It's been 40 years since he did the speach. Back then I wasn't even exist.
oh about the dream. I was with my ex boyfriend, (in my dream, he's still my boyfriend) we had a fight and somehow we switched our places. I was at his, he was at mine. And I was trying to go back to mine and tell him I'm sorry, though many weird people in his building were doing weird things and I couldn't go. It wasn't his real place, it's like playboy manshion. And there's a guy like Hugh Hefner wearing purple robe and has a rifle in his hand. He was after one of his girls. He's shooting his rifle, so I couldn't go out. I was trying to look for the other way out, then there's Greg Kinnear. I didn't know why though he's trying to stop me to see my boyfriend. And I was afraid if I lost his room key...
that's my dream. Weird eh?
I finished the book I was reading. The Celtic Riddle, well, rather disappointed. I knew who's the murderer away before the end of the book... hmmm, I still have same author's books unread. Hope they would be better than this. It was interesting book though. :)
I mentioned about those books I was reading on 20th, now I've read them all. So I should start looking for some more. well, I always have Lyn Hamilton's other books... or I can re-read some of my favourite Agatha Christie's.
When I was reading the Celtic Riddle, I found a photo in the book. Which I put it there somehow and forgot about. Lots of memories came back and I'm feeling little bit distressed. *sigh*
well, people says "it's nice summer day" I say "it's terrible summer day"...
hot... *weeping*
My plant "Spike" is getting weaker. Not really spiky... poor baby.

I visited one of my favourite Blog sites this morning, "frangipani.info" I started to visit there recently so I didn't mention this earlier. :) Then I found this link to some astology sites. I'm still half way going through them. Though sounds like I will have pretty good month of Sep. That's good. Haven't had any good luck recently. haha I do believe those astology, if they mentioned something good. If they mentioned something bad, I probably would forget it. Seems like I'm good with Virgo and Taurus guys. Do you know anyone?! haha
it's raining pretty hard now. Pretty cool and quiet... nice.
Wednesday, August 27, 2003
I'm looking at Mars now. It's cloudy here in Takamatsu though it's still pretty low. So I can see it.
somehow it's very soothing.
oh btw, the phone call earlier, it was a job offer. I still don't have a job. so you know what happened.
I was downstairs talking to my mom. Then I noticed my cell phone was ringing. Actually vibrating... yeah, I could hear it... (living room is under my room) I checked the voice mail and that was one of my job hunting agents. I called back, then she was on a phone with someone else. So I'm waiting right now.
According to David (in Australia) I should take whatever they offer next. Great advise David! Thanks! :p

I add new links!
Nathan's blogs have nice pics. And great writings in Japanese.
Yesterday was my pay day. First time in 6 months. (mind you, I was in TO for three months earlier this year) I got few 10,000 yen bills in my account. yea, that's for 2 days and half work.
Seems like I'm getting more picky everyday about a job. Kinda feel sorry for my agents. oh well, that's their job to find me job!
Very early this morning around 3am, I woke up because of lightnings. Very bright. And Thunder was very loud. I kept watching them for a while. Seems it's getting closer so I decided to unplug my cable modem. Just in case... the way I used to tell those customers when I was working at the internet provider...

I haven't been outside much since I came home from Kyoto. In 12 days, I went out for the meeting with my Job agent and I went out for a dinner with my parents on Sat. That's all. Dinner thingy, we just drove there (restaurant in a hotel), parked underground, ate, drove back. So I was outside maybe 2 minutes. 1 minutes to get in the car from house and 1 minutes to get out the car and go in the house.
What a life I'm having?! I only know few people who can do this including myself. Most of my friends go crazy. You need to be professional about "slacking". I even am not good with emails anymore. Ok, it used to be like this. You email me, I email back in a day or two. Now, some of you still get my reply in two days, but some of you don't. There's few emails which has been sitting there for.... er... more than 1 week. I'm scared that I am becoming real "slacker". I remember my friend Justin always called me "hey you slacker" few years back. Oh, he still calls me that. I just don't really notice any more... haha. anyway, I am not a real slacker yet. (shut up Justin)
I am going out today!!! take my bike in this disgusting hot weather and go to Miyuki's! Miyuki is going back to Russia in a week. :( And next time I will see her would be next summer. Losing my friend who I can hang out during a week makes me think I should stop slacking too... today will be the start.
btw, Miyuki's house is about 3 or 400m away from my house. ohhhhh I'm scared to go out! *grin*
oh yeah, I might go out sometime in this week again too. I might stay over at my friend Miho's house. Just one thing, I don' know how to get there. Last time I went to Miho's, I had a car. Now, no car, no job, no money, no BF... oops, I shouldn't go there. haha
That amazes me how your life can change. Last time I stayed at her, I had them all. :)
Life can change, that's why it's so cool and so cruel. I still enjoy my life though. Most of my adult life, I've been doing things I want to do. Haven't done much of things I don't want to do. I think I've been lucky... to have my understanding parents and supportive friends.
Sunday, August 24, 2003
Since last night, I am covered with mosquito bites. I got those bites in a BATHROOM. yea, when I was having a bath. I think I have 2 each on my shoulders, 2 at lower back, 3 on my left leg and... 1 on my tummy. How that happened? When I noticed there's a big mosquito in the bathroom. That was too late. I must've been thinking something seriously. 10 mosquito bites. Some of my friends might remember... I am not good at dealing with "ITCH". I scratch and bleed. Another thing, I'm easily bled. So if you see me scratching, just stop me okay?
Geez, it's been really hot last few days. I turned on my a/c. Staying in my room... Watching Discovery Channel. They are showing "Trauma" hospial documentary. I'm just checking out if there's cute doctors. hehehe
Still I've been looking for good blog sites to read regular basis... I mentioned about some blogs I like couple days ago though I need more! if you know good ones, let me know. :)
Saturday, August 23, 2003
I'm watching O-sama no Brunch right now, they are talking about Danny Boyle's movie "28 Days Later" I don't know when it'll get here in this deserted island... haha
has anyone watched it? if so let me know how was it via email, please.
Your Own World
I like people who has their own world... why I thought about it today... cuz I was reading this. Matt, you sure have your own world... sweet funny one. :) That's No-Sword Japanese version which I mentioned yesterday that one of those blogs I like. My friend K was reading that blog last night. He's really into it. No-Sword got another fun.

oh yeah, I went to one of my temp job agencys on Wed. I signed up there few years ago and I actually never worked for them, so they want me to re-sign up which means asked me to do all sign up steps. Every one of them. I was thinking to go to see a movie after the meeting, though when I got out of the building, the movie was already started... anyways, I had to take Typing, Microsoft Word, Excel tests. Typing, I always enjoy. It's just fun! Word... errrr, I haven't touched that soft for a while, so I completely forgot about that! Not that I couldn't answer those questions, just took me longer to answer. So... buzz! time out! ha! Excel was okay, I did it better than I did Word. After all those tests, I just left and took my bike back home in the burning hell Takamatsu weather. I spent few hours taking tests and guess what? I still don't have a job!
well, I got some offer from another temp agency last night, we'll see if I can get it. oh before that, see if the agency can get the job first. I guess they just offer you a job even though that job isn't confirmed yet. I just hate that. Anyway, the job is kinda interesting. It's data entry job and it doesn't pay per hour. They are thinking to pay me per data! so 20 yen per one data! I would input about 6000 data. So that would be 120,000 yen. I have to be there at least 7 hours everyday. They are thinking to finish it in a month. I think I can finish it faster than that. Faster you finish, you make more money per day. Interesting...
though!
wasn't I looking for long term job was I?!
hahahaha...
k, I decided to write this everyday, though yesterday I forgot to write. yeah, FORGOT. not I just didn't write it. okay? I forgot!
hehehe,
anyway, I've been surfing lots of blogs lately. I happened to find some cool sites.
My favourites are... No-sword by Matt, bastish.net by Kevin, Mikan Chronicles by Nathan and consumptive.org by James. I also read some other blogs, though those four are my favourite :)

Some of them who's reading this might know that I read a lot eh?
currently I'm reading,
Banana Yoshimoto "Karada ha zenbu shitteiru"
Lyn Hamilton "The Celtic Riddle"
Baku Yumemakura "Onmyoji Namanari hime"
Sunao Ashihara "Seisyun dendeke deke deke"
well, yeah, I'm reading all of four books... I like reading different books at same time. Not like finish one book and go another... (k, I do that sometime too)
I like Banana Yoshimoto's book. no, that's not true... I like Banana Yoshimoto's books when I have sometime to relax and read. Her words deeply touch my feelings. That sometime makes me feel happy, sometime I feel very sad. Even the sad part, I relate to the saddness from her stories, though I also find some hope all the time. well, I need lots of energy when I read her book. I get pretty emotional sometime.
I usually read her book before I go to bed. Sometime I cry a bit, but always I can sleep well.
I was surprised that her book "Kitchen" was translated to so many different languages! (check her website!)
okay, I was writing this blog and same time I was talking to my friend on MSN. so my blog might sounds absent minded... because I was... :)
Monday, August 18, 2003
darn, I lost my post...
anyway,
I didn't write my blog yesterday because I didn't do anything special.
This morning, I noticed that I usually don't do anything special anyway. hahaha
I haven't called my job hunting agents yet, will call them in the evening. Then they might have some job offers.
keep my fingers crossed.
Somethine else I noticed today, my weather pixie, she's telling you the weather at Takamatsu Airport.
Which is up on the mountain. So their weather must be bit cooler than its Takamatsu city's.
I am thinking about my friend who told me he saw Mars at the black out night in TO. I dunno he actually saw it or he's just kidding... or he THINKS he saw it. Though that sounds so special doesn't that? there's a difference between, "I saw the star!" and "I saw the Mars!"... anyway, I like that friend of mine. Everytime I talk to him, he makes me feel... hmmmm, I usually forget about sad things or somethings which bothers me for a while. In Japanese, he's really "癒し系 (Iyashi-kei)". [hey are you reading this? yep, I'm talking about you. I saw the news today and they were talking about what was the cause of the black out, I'm glad you weren't one of the reason. haha]
k, now I'm gonna go to the amazon's site and browse some books.

I talked to some of my friends in Toronto. They got the power back on Friday.
most of them saw the stars on Thursday night... lots of them. one of them said he even saw Mars.
I live in suburbs though I haven't been LOOKing at stars lately... maybe I should check it tonight.
I do often see the Moon and Stars when I go to sleep during the winter. open the window, cold air and clear sky... I just love the air in winter.
Finally pics are done...
I went to Kyoto with my friend Miyuki.
Aug 11, SUNNY + HOT
We left home around 6:30am. Took Marin Liner to Okayama. (1hour) Then we changed to Local train from Okayama to Himeji. (1.5hour) Then we changed to Shin-kaisoku from Himeji to Kyoto. (1.5hour) We chatted and slept in those trains and it wasn't too bad that took us about 4.5 hours to get to Kyoto. haha
We had lunch and went to a hotel we booked.
Then we started our sightseeing. :)
We first went to Chieki-in, it's just East side of 33 Gendo.
Lots of interesting paintings on the Fusuma.
Then we went to Sanjyu-san gendo. This was the place I really wanted to go. But, it was very very hot day and soooo many people in the building. I couldn't stay there long enough... have to go back there sometime cooler.
Then we took Keihan train from Shichijo to Shijo. And another place we wanted to go, went to Nishiki-ichiba. Went to Tofu store and bought Okara cookies. Yum!
We were just walking around after that and went back to the hotel.
Then...
I just passed out.
really.
Most of my friends (yeah, you! who knows me as a winter person) know that I hate summer.
Staying outside long enough in the summer, I would get sick... or pass out.
after 1 hour. I woke up... I was still alive, so we went for a dinner.
Aug 12, RAIN + DUMP... (not too bad)
We left the hotel around 10am and went to Kibune, Kurama area.
Kibune-jinjya is the god of marriage, hehe. We did omikuji (a written oracle) and what it said? that's secret. :)
Then we went to Kurama-dera. We could've walked there from Kibune, though it was raining and we were tired. So we took a train.
It's kinda in a mountain (both Kibune and Kurama) so it got cooler and rain was stopped.
Fresh air and very quiet. We loved it.
Went to Kurama-dera. And after that we went to Kurama Onsen! (hot spring) well, no, no pics at the Onsen. :p
Then we went back to Kyoto station and went home... yeah, another 4.5 hours on those trains.
Miyuki and I had lots of fun together and we promised to go back there next year. When it's more cooler. hehe
This is the link to pics of our trip.

I'm watching CP24 news on the net right now. CP24 is Toronto's local news channel I usually watch when I'm there.
I noticed something might be wrong when I woke up this morning and turn on my pc and non of my friends in TO were online... that was around 6am in Japan time, means 5pm EST. (yeah, even though I'm not working, I do wake up EARLY)
so I turned on my tv and saw the news.
did they find why that happened? I don't know at the moment...
They said Toronto Star was still wet when they got it at the tv studio this morning... amazing.
I guess most of my friends there even can't watch the news which I am watching here in Japan.
Looks like their weather's gonna be hot today (Fri) so I hope everybody will be okay...
seems like some of them who lives in TO already got their power back.
I wonder what I would do if we lose all the powers now...
during the day would be fine... I guess. Though at night? reading with candle lights... maybe playing piano? which I haven't even touched for more than... 12 years.
if you could forget about fridge, freezer and HEAT, then it might be nice to have pitch black night...
it's like going camping maybe? (I've never been camping)
anyway, I've been thinking of you guys who lives in TO and city around there...

was napping for a while and had a sad dream...
it's fiction though Obon dream...
a woman who's looking for herself. She met another woman and her family.
she fell in love with the woman's brother, though noticed the parents and brother were all ghosts. just came back for Obon... He had to leave at the end.
was so real (I wasn't in it) was like I'm watching tv or movie.
I don't remember watching that kind of thing.
should I be a writer?!
Very cool today... has been raining since last night.
Feels like summer is already gone... wish it is true. Yea, I don't like summer AT ALL.
This summer isn't too bad, not many really hot days.
I like winter... espesially in the morning when you wake up, open the window and inhale first fresh COLD air in the morning.
today, when I saw outside and noticed our car is already gone. I don't want to go to photo shop. so no Kyoto story yet. I should get it done soon though, before I forget some details. (or I already forgot?!)
it's very good experiense to travel with someone. Miyuki and I've known each other for 27 years now, but we'd never traveled together before. I think when you are on a trip with someone, you get to know that person/people more. Even if you thought that person is your best friend, you might notice something about that person you didn't know before. sometime good, sometime bad...
Miyuki and I were pretty good traveling together. We both are pretty easy going. :)
I will miss her when she goes back to Russia in Sep... (she's teaching Japanese in Russia)
It's really nice to have someone who really care about you close by. oh well, by then I have my new life... hopefully!!!!! (No job yet. sigh...)
oh yesterday I watched "2Fast 2 Furious"... Guy flick. Paul Walker was as gorgeous as usual though. hehe
Wednesday, August 13, 2003
Back from Kyoto late last night... Miyuki and I had a lot of fun, we walked and looked around till literally passed out... well, at least I did... luckly I passed out in our hotel room... about 1 hour or so.
I don't have pics yet, I will write about the trip when I get those...
I just put two pics I took with my cell phone here, not very good ones though.
at Kurama temple
we went there Aug 12, the weather was very cool and nice... lots of trees, beautiful!
Sunday, August 10, 2003
I will go to Kyoto tomorrow with my friend Miyuki. :)
I will come back on late Tuesday. And tell you (yeah, you! who's reading this right now!) about the trip!
I put the link to Japan Bloggers webring.
I made a link to my friend Miho's site.
it's in English and cute! and funny :)

since I haven't worked for... more than 6 months here in Japan. (I was in Toronto/Canada for three months) I have tons of time to..... watch tv...
I usually just turn on the tv whenever I feel like, and leave the Discovery channel on. When I notice a show is not interesting, then I just flip flip flip flip... the remote.
That's my life...
Though there's a show I WATCH EVERY WEEK.
"SUIKA"
it's on 9pm every Saturday at Nihon TV
Funny thing is though? I would cry every episodes.
So if you think about me on Sat around 9pm... you don't need to wonder what I'm doing.
I'm watching that show and crying.
btw, it's not a serious drama or anything. Rather funny show...
it just... touch my feelings somehow.
well, if I haven't watched all CSI episodes in TO, I would definitely watch CSI on TV Tokyo...
Friday, August 08, 2003
I made a link to my photos... if you are interested...
I will add more when I come back from Kyoto!!!
Typhoon is here! haven't had this big for a while... (there's some news about it)
it's not so hot to use A/C though closing all windows makes my room... warm...
Glad I didn't plan to go to Kyoto this week, My friend and I are going to Kyoto on Monday!
pretty excited about it.
Today, I will go to a meeting... it's kinda job interview, well... not quite actual interview....
hope I will get this job. Then I start making some money at least...

日本語でもできるかどうか、試してみたくなった・・・
大丈夫なようだ・・・
well, what should I say here... hmmmmm....
Today, I decided to have my own Blog... for no reason.
well, since this is my first I would tell you about myself...
I'm Japanese who thinks I'm actually Torontonian.
Live in small island called Shikoku... beautiful island
oh well, I wanna see how this turns out so bad. so I will write more later...
