Happy Halloween

on the way back home...

I know, you probably thinking "what the heck is that?!" That's Kencho (prefectural office) beside the moon. It was half moon even though it looks like full moon. And yeah, shiny circle on the top is the moon... I know I know, it's pathetic...

Work tomorrow. I kinda like it. So far so good.

Well

I noticed that since I'm just going back and forth between home and work, I wouldn't have anything to write here.
I had another weird dream this morning... similar to the one I wrote it here yesterday. But my boy's father was Rory Cochrane. well, I also watched CSI Miami yesterday... So I guess that's why he's in my dream...

Bad Dream

Had a bad weird dream. I know it related to one of emails I got yesterday. My buddy J is a grade school teacher in Toronto. He told me that an educational assistant in his school was charged with sexually assaulting four youths. That's disgusting. Non of them are from their school though still knowing someone like this assistant was working at school surrounding with those innocent kids. So my dream was... I had a boy who's about 6 or 7 years old. And my boy's father (looked like J which I can understand why) and I weren't getting along well, so we didn't live together. But my boy was taken by a child molester. So we were running around looking for our baby. We found our boy though that was really scary and distressing. J and I were really close one summer and we talked about many things including having kids. (didn't mean having together) We both like kids and I know this bad news at his school really bothers J. I'm gonna write an email to J now.

Already

Tomorrow is my day off. Two work days and the third day become my day off. That's how my work schedule works I think. Not that I do mind though. I don't have any specific plan so far. So I don't care when I have my offs. Hey if you guys wanna see me, we have to plan waaay ahead. My November schedule is already on my desk. I wouldn't have two days off till 19th. I have 3 two days off after 19th to the end of the month. That's a lot of offs! I want to go to Osaka. I might be able to do a quick trip to Osaka in Nov... maybe go to Hiroshima or Tokyo in Dec. Almost two more months till the new year... wow, time sure flies.

Too young

To die.
A girl who I went to elementary school and junior high school with. She passed away on 24th. She had an bike/car accident few days before that... I wasn't really close to her or anything, though I remember she wanted to be a nurse and she was the one... dunno what to say, though makes me think of life and death again...

Seems like I will be

A workaholic. Every other working day I have to work late. Yes, I HAVE TO. Someone has to work late every single day. So we take turns. Right now, I don't need to. Cuz I know nothing. hehe. No point I work late without someone who trains me.
Before I started the job I didn't know much about it. Now I know part of it. I have to remember all about the stipulation, (??? is this a right word? all the rules) how those plans work. People who calls us are from Keitai shops and branches. Taking those calls is most part of my job there... I learned a lot when I worked at ISP. So this time, I will learn a lot too. Not a bad thing of course. But I will probably have hard time at first. A woman who's training me seems very nice. There's two women who's doing same thing as I do... well, I would do. I haven't met another woman yet though sounds like she's nice to. I will meet her on Thu I think...
I am very tired... Start to work late and finish late isn't my style. Some of you might remember that I'm usually a morning person. I get up early. I got up around 5:30am this morning and I tried to go back to bed though ended up writing back some emails... I need to get used tothe new lifestyle.

Quiet Sunday

I stayed home all day today. Getting some rest. Not that I haven't gotten any rest lately though. :p
I was thinking about Elliott Smith. Life and Death. I'm an optimist basically. Most of the time I'm like "I would be okay somehow." And I've been okay somehow. Not that anything REALLY bad happened in my life anyway. Today, I've thought about my future. Getting old... and if I'm alone?
well, I ended up thinking "I would be okay somehow."

Tomorrow, another new start of my life.

Beautiful day

Today was a gorgeous beautiful day. I went to see Kagawa JET seminar in the morning with my friend Miho. And joined them to play some games which they would do when they teach Syo-gakko. (elementary school) After that, Miho, Miho's friend Nathan, Kagawa JET Joel and I went for drive to Yashima. (Check out this Takamatsu guide and see Yashima) Yashima is roof-shaped mesa headland sticking out into the sea. It was just beautiful. I took some pics though again, it's my Keitai pics, so you know what to expect. :p

Btw, that's Nathan on the bridge. (sigh... need a digital camera)

There's a temple on the top of Yashima.
Miho has better pictures of us, so when she sent me. I will post those.
Thanks Miho, Nathan and Joel!

More pics

Thanks Miho for the pics.

Job Job Job!

I was too tired to write something last night. So here I am.
I had an interview yesterday. And I got the job right away at the interview. I'm relieved, though I had to give up one thing. Which is regular weekend holidays off. Oh yeah, I got a job at Vodafone...
well, I will work in the office, not the Keitai (cell phone) shop. I can wear pretty much anything I want, that's good. :) Seems like as long as those cell phone shops are open, someone need to be in an office doing paperwork... So my offs will be irregular... I think I will get used to it. Last time I worked on weekends was... when I was still in school and working at city's swimming pool one summer. I was... teenager. Long time ago. :D
I don't think the work there is nothing difficult or exciting, though maybe I can get new Keitai somehow... hehe I used to work for au and I got some goodies... I even got a PDA for free once... oh well, I'm pretty excited to go back to work. Soon I will be able to pay the municipal tax... hey! which is sucks!!!

Still Cursed

I guess. Didn't get the job. I got a call today. I asked why I didn't get a job, then my agent told me that "well, it's about timing." What's the %&$#? What about timing?! She should've said "it's about money." I sighed up for few job hunting agencies, and noticed some of them pay you VERY cheap. (not the one I was with this time.) Cheaper agencies pay you almost 200 yen cheaper per hour than nomal agencies. So I guess those cheap places get more jobs since company doesn't want to pay much for contract workers. But I do not want to work cheap!!! Baka baka baka! I am so pissed today.

Haven't done anything. I've been feeling not well today. Maybe getting a cold... also have tummyache. :(

But, I baked some cookies. My mom likes those, I like oatmeal raisins better. Seems like that is what I do when I'm not feeling well. To cheer me up. Ok, be honest. I only bake scones and cookies. I can't bake anything else. hehe

Oh and

Job interview. It was one of those "just sitting there smiling" one. My job hunting agent kept talking. And manager from the company explained what kind of job I have to do. No question was asked. I asked the manager about bike parking (most important thing for me!) and lunch hour. That's all I said at loud. Other than that, smiling and nodding. Well, so it's up to my agent's skills. She will talk to the manager later about MONEY. If she's good enough, she can get me that job.

Today I bought Loto 6 for my mom. And 5 of scratch ones. (200yen x 5 = 1000 yen) I won 1 x 100yen and 1 x 1000yen.

"I'm glad I didn't lose any money!" ME. hehe

Old topic

I haven't updated about my job situation for a while. Well, I'm getting less and less eager about getting a job. That's why I even didn't think of writing about it. haha
Though I've been still getting calls from job hunting agencies.
I have two job offers right now, one will start middle of Nov (from agency C), another one will start sometime next week. (from agency P) I told both agencies that I'm interested in the job.
I will have an interview tomorrow for the job which will start soon. If I didn't get the job, I still have another one to try. I told my agent at C that I would be looking for other jobs during I'm waiting to hear their job details. And she agreed. So there wouldn't be any problem handling two jobs at same time.
Keep my finger crossed about the interview tomorrow...

My Obachan

My Obachan (my aunt) is visiting us today from Osaka. So far, she doesn't think anything weird about I've been home all day. haha
She has more things to worry about than worry about her niece... which is good! When she doesn't need to worry about her own daughters, she wants to know about my personal stuff. (guy thing mostly) And she starts to worry about me. I guess it is good that I don't have a BF right now. So Obachan wouldn't have any way to get me. hehe
Last time when she found out I have a BF, she kept me on the phone for 30 mins plus, another 30 mins for how difficult to have an international marriage. I was very close to faint!. (One of her daughter is in the international marriage. So she has lots of say about it.)

Oh and!

I forgot to mention this! Nathan is very nice guy and his Japanese is GREAT!!! I've only met one other foreigner who can speak Japanese that well! And that other person is Japanese Canadian!!! I didn't need to speak English today. Cuz his Japanese is soooo good. When I'm with my bilingual non-Japanese friends, I have one way to decide which language we speak. If my English is better than her/his Japanese, then we speak English. If their Japanese is better than my English, then we speak Japanese. (except, if my friends really wanna speak Japanese, we speak Japanese.) You know which one that was today. :D

Nathan came to Takamatsu today, so I met him at Takamatsu station. We took a ferry to Megijima. (sorry the site is only in Japanese) I haven't been there for... about 20 years. It's a small island. Very quiet and nice place.

Gentle dog came to
say Hi to us.

Moai!

After we had Udon, we next went to Ritsutin Kouen. Ritsurin Kouen is in my neighbourhood, so I've been there so many times. Very well kept. Nice park.

Scary Koi!

We had fun sightseeing in Takamatsu. His site will have good pictures. I will post some when he send those as well.

Phone call

I got a call from a woman who taught me how to wear Kimono. She was also my neighbour. She's about 10 years older than I am so when I was a kid, I didn't know about her much.
But few years ago, I decided to learn to wear Kimono. (because I was also taking Tea ceremony lessons, so I had some occations to wear kimono.) About the same time she asked me if I wanted to be her seito. (student) She just got a Kitsuke (dressing Kimono) certificate. So she wanted to teach someone. She taught me about three months. I thought (also she mentioned by herself) she wouldn't be getting married. And out of the blue, she got married! Now she has a baby girl. I bought some clothes for her child. So she called to thank me today.
She kept saying "Lately, women are having kids in her 30's. Like in their mid 30's." Was she trying to comfort me?!?!

Grumpy

I was reading my post earlier. And kinda feel bad. That's exactly what I felt and thought this morning. Though I should've not felt that way... oh well, at least I can say I was grumpy.

In the late afternoon, one of my friends here called me and we decided to go out for a while. I haven't gone out with her for a while. Actually I went out with her and other friends last weekend, but just two of us going out was probably first time in this year. We talked about many things and we had fun.

Lack of Sympathy?

well, this morning, one of my friends talked to me online. He lost his grandfather last month. I don't know him that well and I don't know his family at all. He sent me an email after his grandfather passed away. So I replied back that I'm sorry. After that, every time he talked to me he mentioned about his grandfather and how sad his family is, how many people came to the funeral etc etc. I just don't know what he wants me to say. I sure can understand how sad he/his family is. And his grandfather was a great person. This morning, he sounded like he just wants me to say "I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" and wants me to show my sympathy. I respect him and I don't want him to feel sad though this morning, I felt like he's just asking my sympathy. Or he just wanted to have someone's sympathy, whoever can give it to him. Maybe that's his way to get over this sadness though I don't feel good about it.

Your Type

I don't know what kind of guy I like. Not only looks, looks and personalities. I think I like guys who has dark hair. Though last few guys I've dated or gone out with, non of them has dark hair...
My friend mentioned it yesterday too. She said "I just don't know what kind of guy you like." and shrugged her shoulders.
Seems like I've fallen in love with different type of guys every time. Non of them has similar personalities or looks.
I haven't met the one yet, that's why I've been trying different flavours? (that's what my friend used to say. she always said that she wants to try every ice cream flavours. and guys are like ice cream...)
